How often do I need an EICR?
For most people, the type of property they own won’t affect how often they renew their electrical safety certificates. Instead, it only affects whether or not an EICR is legally required. The frequency of electric safety checks only varies for commercial sites. For example, an industrial property may need an EICR every three years, but a swimming pool will need one annually.

Pricing & emergency call-outs
We like to make things easy! Minor electrical works, fault finding, and repairs are usually charged in half hour increments (1-hour minimum).

– From £56.25 at evenings and weekends
– From £72.00 for late-night visits (9pm to 7am)
Parts and materials are charged in addition to time. There’s no extra charge for an emergency attendance, when we aim to be on-site within 1-hour.
Bigger jobs can be quoted at a fixed price following an investigation. Quotes can usually be produced while the electrician is still on-site.
EICR Prices Domestic properties
✓1-bed flat: 100 to 150 pounds
✓2-bed house: 150 to 200 pounds
✓3-bed house: 180 to 250 pounds
✓4+ bed house: 250 to 350 pounds
✓HMO (House in Multiple Occupation): 300 to 500 pounds
Commercial properties
Commercial EICR costs vary widely depending on the size and complexity of the installation. A small retail unit might cost 300 to 500 pounds, while a large office building or industrial unit could cost several thousand pounds. Commercial inspections often require out-of-hours access, which adds to the cost.
